Minister De Weever reminds stakeholders about very important labour-business issue related meeting; Themed: We Can Build Sint Maarten Together.

cdeweever19082012GREAT BAY (DCOMM):--- Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labour Hon. Cornelius de Weever, is reminding stakeholders to attend a very important meeting regarding "We Can Build Sint Maarten Together."

Those invited to attend this very important national push to address labour related issues are the business sector, unemployed persons, youth, investors, small business owners, and non-profit foundations.

The meeting will address work permits, employment and unemployment, the rights and responsibilities of employers and workers.

The aforementioned factors in one way or the other are part and parcel of wealth creation as well as its distribution that is needed for economic prosperity as well as social justice, and that solving our society's problems could not be found without a partnership between the social partners.

The meeting will be held at the Dutch Quarter Community Center on Monday, September 9 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

The program, "We Can Build Sint Maarten Together," is a strategic push by the Minister of Labour which was initially launched on May 1, Labour Day.

"For the betterment of our Country, for the betterment of our communities, and for the betterment of our people, this initiative is to create economic prosperity. Government is about improving the quality of life of our people.

"This is just the beginning of a process to make Sint Maarten work. Let us all work together to create opportunities for everybody as we move forward together as a country," Minister Cornelius de Weever stated on Sunday.

The Minister is reminding all stakeholders to join in resolving the pertinent issues that impact the economic sustainability and prosperity of the country, and Minister De Weever is of the resolve that together we can do this.
