All set for TelCell’s “Breakthrough” talent search September 28.

telembreakthroughsmswinners20092013POND ISLAND:--- Prime Minister Mrs. Sarah Wescot-Williams and Minister of Culture, Youth & Sports, Mrs. Patrica Lourens, will be amongst the distinguished guests rooting for St. Maarten talent, at TelCell's Breakthrough talent search at the Casino Royale Theater, Maho, September 28th.

Both VIP's have informed that they will be attending and are looking forward to the show, hosted jointly by TelEm Group mobile provider TelCell in collaboration with promotion company, Xtratight Entertainment.

The government VIPs will be joined by a full range of supporters in the audience who organizers say are also looking forward to the show of talent in several categories from the island's youth.

The countdown to the contest began in earnest during the past fortnight with an invitation to TelCell customers to use their mobiles to send an SMS message voting for their favourite performer on the night.

From the hundreds of customers who voted, a computer-generated draw was made this week to choose five winners to receive free tickets for the show.

"We can see from the SMS messages received that we will have good attendance and enthusiastic support on the night," said one of TelEm Group's coordinators of the show, Angel Richardson.

She said her co-organizers were especially pleased to hear that the Prime Minister and Minister of Culture will be attending to give their support and encouragement to St. Maarten's youth talent.

"The Breakthrough show is all about the youth and about how TelCell can assist in exposing the talent we know exists in our community and amongst our youth," said Angel.

"Mr. Rude" of the promotion company Xtratight Entertainment, is also looking forward to the night and to congratulating the winners in each category, especially the music category where a recording contract from his company is one of the prizes being offered.

"We were blow away by the level of professionalism at the auditions so only the performers themselves know how they intend to lift their game next Saturday," added Mr. Rude.

He is encouraging anyone who has not yet bought a ticket for the show to do so now, because space will be limited at the venue.
