Koeiman Among Three Arrested in Curacao on the Request of US Authorities --- Wanted for Drug Trafficking.

WILLEMSTAD, Curacao:--- Police in Curacao arrested three men on Tuesday afternoon on the request of US authorities confirmed spokesman for the Attorney General's Office Norman Serphos. The three men are wanted for two shipments of drugs to the US territories, one of which left from St. Maarten to the United States of America. The three men that were arrested are Rogelio Gregory Koeiman (45), Ronchie Riatwijk (48), and Gilbertico Felcia (35). Serphos identified the three suspects by their initials which he said are R.G.K, R.R, and G.F. Two of the three men were arrested while driving on Curacao while the other was arrested at his house.

Serphos said the Southern District Attorney of New York submitted the request for the three men whom they want extradited to the United States of America.

Among the three men that were arrested on Tuesday is the bodyguard of Member of Parliament of St. Maarten Romaine Laville. The well-known body guard is Rogelio Gregory Koeiman (45), a notorious former police officer.

Just recently, Koieman made the news when SMN News published a letter he submitted to the Government of St. Maarten requesting a vehicle inspection license. Koieman submitted his request to the Minister of Economic Affairs on April 15th, 2013.

It should be noted that Member of Parliament Romaine Laville wanted to be the Deputy Prime Minister of St. Maarten with the SWW- 3 cabinet but he did not pass the screening process to become Minister/Deputy Prime Minister. Currently, St. Maarten is fighting against the measures taken by the Kingdom Council of Ministers of the Netherlands who issued an instruction to the Governor of St. Maarten to conduct an integrity investigation on St. Maarten.
