SIMPSON BAY:--- On Thursday October 24th, 2013 around 7:45pm, a police patrol from the Uniformed Department of the Simpson Bay sub station was dispatched to the Triple "D" Supermarket on the Airport road for an armed robbery.
Upon arrival of the patrol they were met by the owner of the establishment with the initials J.L from China. He informed the patrol that not too long before he called the establishment was robbed by an unknown male person brandishing a firearm.
After demanding the money out of the cash register and receiving it the suspect then left the establishment and fled in the direction of the Old Simpson Bay road.
The detective department is further investigating the case.
The Police Department is asking the community in general for any assistance in the above mentioned case. We are also asking the drivers of our public roads to please obey the traffic signs and rules in our Road Safety Campaign.
