Disciples Toastmasters reaches distinguished club mark.

amandabedminister12012014ST. PETERS:--- Halfway through the toastmaster year, the Disciples Toastmaster club has met one of its goals by earning the acclamation of Distinguished Club.
Toastmasters International is an organization that empowers individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. Each member has their individual goal and together with the elected club officers, they work to help the club achieve their goals. When a club member receives a communicator or leadership award the club is closer to its goals.
Toastmasters International is a fun way to grow individually and collectively.
To achieve the Distinguished Club award the Disciples Toastmasters club had to achieve 5 out of 10 goals. The individual goals of four club members attributed to this success; two received Competent Communicator awards, Amanda Bedminister and Linda Moise; one Competent Leader award was achieved by area governor Sinatra Rouse; and one Advanced Leader Bronze award was met by club president Ingrid Holaman. Other goals of the club were met by the induction of four new members, and the timely payment of membership dues and submission of other administrative information.
The club officers take this opportunity to congratulate all club members who have succeeded in achieving their goals.
With 6 more months left in the Toastmaster year, the Disciples Toastmaster club is working their way to meet the second goal of Select Distinguished Club then finally President Distinguished Club.
