PHILIPSBURG:--- The President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell is currently in the Netherlands representing the country in connection with Her Royal Highness (HRH) Princess Beatrix farewell celebration on Saturday, February 1st in Ahoy, Rotterdam.
President Arrindell arrived in The Netherlands on Friday, the 76th birthday of HRH Princess Beatrix – January 31 – who celebrated the day with her family.
The farewell party will also celebrate the over 30-year reign of the former Queen.
The programme has been arranged by Bart Schneemann, oboist and music director of the Netherlands Wind Ensemble.
There will be musical renderings by members of the general public accompanied by the Netherlands Wind Ensemble, and a performance by Corpus Acrobatics.
The other countries within the Kingdom will also have representatives at the national farewell celebration.
The logistics for the celebration is being handled by the National Investiture Committee.
