PHILIPSBURG:--- Minister Hon. Maurice Lake of Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), says he would like his Ministry to have closer contact with the community and will be looking into Ministry VROMI having its own website.
"The objective is to have a closer relationship with the people in the districts and with the community councils by using information technology such as the Ministry having a website and using social media.
"It is important for Ministry VROMI to have a close relationship. We need to get feedback about problem areas in order to be able to deal with them efficiently.
"The community feedback is important to us and we place a high value on this. Community Councils can also utilize this form of communication as well as other social clubs and groups, but most importantly are the people who live in the neighborhoods.
"We have to have pride in our neighborhoods and continue to work together in making them better places to play, work and live. And this can only be achieved by working together hand in hand. It's also all about nation building and feeling patriotic to the country," Minster Hon. Maurice Lake said on Sunday.
