PHILIPSBURG:--- To increase the quality of work carried out by STAT interviewers during the Household Listing Survey, the department held two evenings of training at the Claude Wathey Legislative Hall, on January 30th & 31st 2014. On the first evening, STAT provided a training manual to interviewers and gave instructions on how to administer the questionnaire on the tablet, what administration is necessary and carried out role plays.
On the following evening, Friday, January 31st, a communications workshop was given by Renaldo Baker, Communications Skills Consultant, to the participants. The focus was on ensuring the right approach and effective communication between interviewers and the public.
Data collection for the Household Listing Survey began last Saturday February 1st and will continue through the beginning of April 2014.
