jflemingartsenwithjohnleerdam09022014GREAT BAY (DCOMM):--- Deputy Minister Plenipotentiary Hon. Josianne Fleming Artsen attended the Amsterdam Theatre on February 9 on invitation of the "Julius Lives" Foundation, to see the KAIN PILUK II Play, directed and produced by John Leerdam, former Dutch Member of Parliament for the Labor Party and Founder and Director of the Julius Lives Foundation.

The story reflects the history of the Netherlands and Indonesia which had a special relationship and common trade interest. They moved from a friendly to an enemy state, from distrustful to alienation to dialog. The relationship got more complex.

KAIN PIKUL II – in blindfolded stories reviews the collective, but loaded history between the Netherlands and the Mollucan society, the forgotten Papua's who still live in the Netherlands. These blindfolded stories are about promises, belief, and relationships but also about the sorrow and the hate.

Deputy Minister Plenipotentiary Hon. Josianne Fleming Artsen: Congratulations John Leerdam for presenting such a courageous play of consciousness! Congratulations to the cast and the Board for such an outstanding performance.
