CPO Suspended for Sexual Abuse of his Minor Daughter. (UPDATED)

juanstaphie11022014PHILIPSBURG:--- The management of KPSM suspended a Community Police Officer (CPO) last week for allegedly touching his 16 year old minor daughter inappropriately. SMN News learned that the man's wife filed a complaint against him for sexual abuse with her 16 year old daughter. After the complaint was filed and actions were taken, a source close to KPSM said that the officer's wife wanted to withdraw the complaint she filed against her husband.
According to reports reaching SMN News, the management of KPSM took away the CPO's firearm and suspended him pending the investigation. The CPO is known as a Juan Staphie aka Juny, the CPO for the Dutch Quarter community.
Chief Commissioner of Police Peter de Witte confirmed that a report was filed against the CPO and an investigation is ongoing. De Witte said pending the investigation the officer has been suspended. The top cop said it is not possible for him to release more information as the investigation is in its early stages.

Criminal Investigation Against Police Officer.

The Police Internal Affairs and Juvenile Department in collaboration with the Public Prosecutor's Office is presently conducting a criminal investigation against a police officer/CPO with the initials J.S. for allegedly committing an immoral offense. At present the officer in question has been suspended and denied access to all buildings occupied by the Police Department. The area which is the area assigned to the CPO under investigation, will be taken care of by the other CPOs. This investigation is quite sensitive and no further comments or reports will be given at this time regarding this case until the investigation has concluded.
