GUANA BAY:--- On Monday, February 17th, 2014 at approximately 9:45pm, a police patrol was sent to the Guana Bay area to investigate a report of numerous gunshots being fired in the area of the beach. Just before arriving on the scene the patrol got a second call informing them that the one responsible for firing the shots was driving a silver colored pick-up truck and was at the time leaving the area and heading in the direction of Philipsburg. This information was coming from an off-duty police officer who was driving behind the suspect. The pick-up of the suspect was blocked by the patrol and the suspect was ordered to exit the vehicle, with which he complied. The patrol along with the off-duty officer searched the vehicle and found a high power automatic rifle on the passengers seat of the pick-up.
