Prime Minister, Police Force DARE Foundation Team Up for Zumba Walk Involving Primary Schools This Saturday.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams will join forces with the DARE Foundation and the Police Force of St. Maarten to host the We 2 Can Move children's Walk-a-ton and Zumba fest. The event will involve pupils taking part in exercise, encouraging them to stay away from drug and alcohol abuse. The We 2 Can Move will take place this Saturday, June14th starting at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex at five-thirty and ending at the Festival Village. The PM is urging the community, and especially the youth, to take part in the event; " I would like to the DARE Foundation and the police force for organizing this event. Movement plays a significant role in not only making our youth healthy but to also in using health and exercise to steer our youth away from drug and alcohol abuse. I therefore look forward to this walk very much," emphasized the Prime Minister. Parents also have the opportunity to participate in a Yoga session while the children participate in the Zumba session. The New Status Generation band will provide musical support.
