GREAT BAY:--- As of Monday, June 23, 2014 the Department of Labor Affairs will be handling the processing of Labour Complaints, differently.
All persons will be required to complete a Customer Care Form to be obtained from the Receptionist. The form is intended to capture the purpose of the visit as it regards the various services at Complaints & Dismissals. All persons visiting the department should always have valid form of identification on hand.
The complainant will receive a preliminary letter within ten (10) working days of the initial date of the complaint. The preliminary letter includes a summary overview of the complaint and preliminary findings based on submitted information. The complainant will then receive a final status letter eleven (11) working days after the date of the preliminary letter. The final status letter will include an overview of executed actions, status of the case and where possible additional recommendations.
It is important to note that all complaint cases will be handled within thirty (30) working days, in accordance with payroll indications.
