PHILIPSBURG:--- Prime Minister Sarah Wescot Williams informed members of the media on Wednesday that the Government of St. Maarten is expected to finalize the purchase of the government building on Pond Island. Wescot Williams said that government is working tirelessly to ensure that the buy-out from RGM takes place before July 1st so that government will not have to pay another set of booth payment to RGM. She also confirmed that financing of the purchase and completion of the building will be done with the 46 million guilders worth of bonds that was made available by the Central Bank. She mentioned that the monies for the sale will be placed in an escrow account.
