PHILIPSBURG:--- Journalist and Comedian Andrew Dick who was arrested ten days ago was released by the Judge of Instruction on Friday morning. Attorney at Law Cor Merx told SMN News last week that he was sure that he was going to get Dick out of jail this Friday. Merx told SMN News on Friday that the judge of instruction Tamara Thyhuis agreed with his request which is to release Dick until he is summoned to court.
Dick has been accused of embezzling monies from B&C Beverages in Cole Bay.
Chief Prosecutor Eric Noordhoek said in an invited comment that he cannot disclose how much monies Dick embezzled from the company because the investigation is still ongoing.
