HARBOUR VIEW:--- Reliable information reaching SMN News states that Ballerina Jewelers located at the A.C. Wathey Harbor in Pointe Blanche was broken into Sunday night. So far the management of the Harbor Group of Companies has not released any information on the robbery while the police has also kept the robbery under wraps hoping that no one will know of it.
According to the information provided to SMN News, three persons (seemingly males) cut the fence on the side where the sand pile is and gained access to the grounds of the harbor.
SMN News learnt that Checkmate Security has been guarding the harbor for some 14 to 15 years and the facility or businesses on the grounds of the harbor were never broken into.
Rumor has it that someone closely affiliated with the management of the Harbor Group of Companies is busy negotiating the purchase of Checkmate Security and several marinas on the island.
Efforts made to reach CEO of the Harbor Group of Companies Mark Mingo proved futile Tuesday evening. CEO of Checkmate Security Michael Kuperi also could not be reached for a comment on Tuesday. Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson also could not be reached for a comment. SMN News will bring you an update on this latest robbery as soon as information becomes available.
