Valerie Brazier Receives Excellence in Education and Training Award from Toastmasters International.

valeriebrazierawardedexcellenceineducationandtraining08092014PHILIPSBURG:--- Distinguished Toastmaster & District 81 Governor Valerie Brazier, was among the over two thousand Toastmasters who gathered at the Kuala Lumpar Convention Center, where she participated in a week of amongst others, District Officers Training, Workshops, Educational sessions, Business meetings, Hall of Fame, International Speech contest and social gatherings. During the Hall of Fame walk, DTM Brazier was awarded the 'Excellence in Education and Training award' from Toastmasters International President George Yen. This award is presented to the Lieutenant Governor Education & Training for outstanding leadership performance and continued achievement in promoting outstanding educational programming in clubs, for meeting the distinguished District program goals in training and achieving distinguished clubs equal to at least 40% of the district's Club base.
During her 2013-2014 tenure as LEGT DTM Valerie Brazier was successful in leading 77.87 % of the club base to a distinguished status or higher. For the first time ever in the history of District 81, 35 members had received the Triple Crown award. The Triple Crown award is awarded to members who achieved 3 or more educational goals during one Toastmasters term. 16 members received the Distinguished Toastmaster recognition, In order to achieve this goal, members are required to satisfy all the requirements in both the education as well as leadership track of Toastmasters International. DTM Brazier ran her term under the campaign "Get Credited" where she encouraged individual members and clubs to work the Toastmasters Education Program and get credited.
Along with fellow District leaders, who also received awards for their outstanding performance, the team was able to lead District 81 to the number six position in the world. This is yet another historical achievement for Caribbean Toastmasters, at the end of the 2012-2013 Toastmasters year, DTM Rolando Tobias, received recognition for leading District 81 to the number 7 position in the world.
DTM Valerie Brazier currently serves Toastmasters International as District Governor for District 81; the highest ranking officer on District level. It is her goal to help District 81 to remain in the top 7 ranked positions in the world. To help the District meet this goal, members are encouraged to take what they have learnt within the Toastmasters education and leadership program and apply this to their daily lives, by doing so we will be able to impact communities and change lives.
