Police to Assist with any Traffic Congestion from FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show on Monday.

emergencyservicesmeetwithshgc03102014POINT BLANCHE:--- There may be some traffic congestion in and around Philipsburg, and along the route to Dawn Beach where several of the conference hotels are located in connection with the kick-off of the 21st Annual Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Cruise Conference & Trade Show that runs from October 6-10.

Traffic Police officers will be on hand during the five days conference and trade show activities will be taking place to help with any traffic congestion as the country host 100 cruise executives, presidents, chief executive officers, and approximately 1000 conference/port manager attendees who will start to arrive this weekend.

Conference delegates staying at various hotels in Philipsburg and nearby environs (Little Bay), as well as at Dawn Beach, will be shuttled back and forth to the conference facility and exhibition hall at the Dr. A.C. Wathey Cruise & Cargo Facility in Point Blanche.

Traffic Police officers will also be present at the entrance to the Port St. Maarten facility ensuring the free flow of traffic into the village of Point Blanche, for those heading towards Philipsburg and into the port.

Some delegates will also be using rental vehicles to move back and forth among other means of transportation that will be provided by various stakeholders.
