PHILIPSBURG:--- On Thursday, December 4th 2014, the Sint Maarten Police Force arrested two suspected burglars for whom the police officers were on the lookout for, for quite some time. The public prosecutor issued a warrant for their arrest some time ago, because there was enough proof to arrest them for several burglaries they've committed in the Cole Bay area.
A 26 year old man was arrested in Pelican, the other one, a 55 year old man, was arrested in Cole Bay. Both of the men were placed into custody and are questioned about their involvement with the burglaries they're suspected of.
During his questioning, the 26 year old man confessed two of the crimes committed.
American arrested for fraud.
A 26 year old American citizen was arrested on Friday December 5th for fraud.
The man rented a Ford Mustang from Paradise Car Rental and was supposed to take it back to the car rental company by Thursday. The man didn't keep his promise.
The car rental company filed a complaint with the police and a patrol was on the lookout for the car and its driver. The Mustang was seen driving by the patrol and the car was stopped. The 26 year old driver was arrested for embezzlement and he was taken to the police station for questioning.
