10 December 2014. LIMA - The International Labour Organization (ILO) will present a new edition of its Labour Overview for Latin America and the Caribbean on Thursday 11 December, in the capital of Mexico, with data on the behaviour of employment and labour markets during 2014 and projections about what may occur in the region in 2015.
The "2014 Labour Overview" will be presented at a press conference at the ILO office in Mexico City, by the ILO Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Elizabeth Tinoco.
This year, the "2014 Labour Overview" presents data on regional urban unemployment, employment and labour force participation rates, wages, youth employment, rural employment, participation of women and other variables.
On this occasion, the ILO report is presented in the context of slowing economic growth, which also impacts the behaviour of labour markets.
The ILO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, based in Lima, has prepared this report annually for over 20 years.
