Gendarmes calling on witnesses to come forward in murder of 31 year old man.

FRENCH QUARTER:--- On Tuesday December 23rd 2014, gendarmes had to visit a home in French Quarter where a 31 year old man was killed. According to a press release from Captain of the Gendarmerie Slyvain Jouault the gendarmes intervened when they were alerted of the killing.
Jouault said the investigation was done by the Brigade of Research and so far it shows that the two men who were sharing the same home had a quarrel for trivial reasons. Based on the outcome of the investigation done so far it showed that during the dispute the two men began using a machete on each other, it also appeared that one of the men attacked the other one from behind with a flare gun before striking him the fatal blow with a machete in his abdominal area.
Jouault said that when the gendarmes reached the scene they managed to arrest the suspect at the scene. The suspect appeared before the judge of instruction on December 25th, 2014 in Pointe-a-Pitre where he was  placed on remand until witnesses are called and heard in the ongoing investigation.
The Captain of the Gendarmerie said that the investigation is continuing, however they have issued an open call to witnesses that have witnessed this latest murder. Anyone who witnessed the killing are asked to contact the investigators at the Brigade of Research of the Gendarmerie of St. Martin. Witnesses can choose to even visit the Gendarmerie in La Savane and their identity will be preserved as all witnesses will be treated as anonymous witnesses.
