12th Murder Committed --- Two Questioned by Police. (UPDATED)

murderfillin13082012SUCKER GARDEN:--- St. Maarten recorded its 12th murder early Wednesday morning December 31st, 2014. According to information provided to SMN News, the victim has been identified as Eddy York of Sucker Garden. Based on information SMN News received, the elderly man was found stabbed to death in his bed. SMN News further understands that Eddy York was living with a woman identified as Behulah Pusey of Jamaican decent and her 15 year old daughter. "There was no forced entry in the house and his companion and her daughter were the two only persons in the house when this brutal murder was committed. The woman is claiming that she heard Eddy scream and that is how she woke up. Police took both the woman and her companion to the police station where they were asked to give statements. The ambulance was called to the scene but when they reached there the victim was already dead. Police and their forensic team were seen at the home of Eddy York collecting evidence up to 4 am this morning. The killing appeared to have taken place sometime between 2am to 2:30am.
Chief of Police Peter de Witte confirmed that York was killed and that the detective and forensic department are busy with the investigation. St. Maarten's top cop said that the two persons that were in the home when the killing took place were not arrested or detained by police.

Man found dead in Upper Princess Quarter.

In the early hours of Wednesday December 31st around 2 a.m. a witness reported that a 72-year old man was found wounded in the bedroom of his house in Upper Princess Quarter. Several police officers and paramedics immediately rushed to the scene and started CPR with the victim. Around 4:00 a.m. the man was pronounced dead by the medical doctor.
Employees of the Forensic Department were called to the scene to collect evidence, and detectives started talking to the witnesses that were present in the house at the time.
