PHILIPSBURG:--- For the past few months the new Radio Station on St. Maarten, My88.3, has been broadcasting Adult contemporary and old school music. On January 5th, 2015, Mr. Ronny Busby will be hosting a new radio show at 5pm, prime time. According the Busby, the show will have commentary on current events, traffic updates, food talk and appearances by special guests and experts in their respective fields. Listeners will also have to opportunity to call in on 544- 6988 or 544- my88 and give their comments or ask questions.
Ronny Busby is no stranger to radio. He started his career in 1984. With over 30 years in the Communication business including Radio, TV, Marketing and as a freelance writer, Busby is hoping to bring smiles to all who tune in during that part of the day. He and his guest will also be addressing some of the pressing headlines and topics of the day. "We also need to laugh at ourselves sometimes. We are often so consumed with the negatives around us that we forget to see the humor in many of our daily activities or those of our elected officials, friends and family," said Busby.
Another aspect of the show is to provide primary information on what's happening now on St.Maarten and if possible give our listeners information in real time. If something happens between 5-7 pm, Life @5 on My88.3 will have it.
My88.3 has other live shows planned in the coming months. According to Busby," we are interviewing talent and providing some training in broadcasting. Our talent should have some knowledge in the communication field or willing to learn about broadcasting before going on air".
Busby would like everyone to tune in on Monday January 5th at 5pm for the lounging of the My88. 3 and in particular his radio show Live @5.
