Cooperating Foundations gives grant to Helping Hands Foundation to purchase wheelchair bus

wheelchairbus18022015PHILIPSBURG:--- After several months of preparation and contacts between the two foundations, Cooperating Foundations was happy to present a check to Helping Hands Foundation. The grant of US$ 60,000 will go towards the purchase of a new wheel chair bus.
Mrs. Elvia Guy, President of the Helping Hands Foundation showed her gratitude to Samenwerkende Fondsen and expressed how grateful the board and their clients are. She thanked all who were instrumental in getting the bus organized. A special thank you went to Mr. Eric Vlaun for the generous deduction in the full cost price of the bus. "This was definitely a great help in getting the project approved", Jose Sommers, Project Advisor of Samenwerkende Fondsen stated.
Mr. Vlaun showed his appreciation and was happy to see Helping Hands return to his garage after they purchased a bus for their organization a number of years ago. He explained the importance of helping people in the community and was happy to give his support.
On an annual basis Helping Hands Foundation makes more than ten thousand trips to transport the elderly and disabled to medical facilities, recreational activities and other places where they cannot get themselves with private or public transportation. Over the years Helping Hands has seen a significant increase in requests for assistance in transportation. The newly ordered bus, which is currently manufactured in Japan, will definitely help the organization to meet the growing needs of the community.
