The holder of the certification "Tax Administration Specialist" of Benjamin & Parker completed a high intensity training program of over 120 hours and passed her/his examination with success in understanding several Tax Law legislations and the implementation of the SXM Tax Governance Management.
The course consisted of the analysis and the field application of the following subjects:
- Mastering General Tax Ordinance
- Mastering Profit Tax Ordinance
- Mastering Income Tax Ordinance.
- Mastering Collection Ordinance
- Mastering Private Foundations
The course contents is the result of careful and thorough compilation of several strategic taxation methods implemented by Tax Authorities in Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire and Sint Maarten over a period of 2 decades, giving the certification holder proficiency in the technical interpretation and field application of the Sint Maarten Tax Legislation.
Ms. Amanda Weijmer's, examination consisted in multilevel tax risk deciphering, Tax trouble shooting and preparation of a Tax Analysis which she had to defend all aspects of her findings and actions to be implemented to safeguard the client under Tax Office attack.
In addition B-Parker informs that Ms. Andrea Lewis, also member of the same firm as Ms. Weijmer, acquired her Tax Administration Controller Certification after passing her Tax Administration Plus examination, with flying colors. Ms. Lewis is a dedicated mother and professional that although her busy schedule managed to become a Tax Controller and is candidate now for the Platinum Certification (examination pending). The new Tax Administration Plus course will resume April 20, 2015.
Both professionals did the Plus+ and Platinum course at the same time and managed to pull it through. B-Parker is proud to have contributed to the training of these SXM professionals and hope they will use their knowledge to assist the community of SXM to the best of their new abilities.
