PHILIPSBURG:--- The Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Affairs, the Honorable Rita Bourne-Gumbs has endorsed the G.I.F.T.E.D. Foundation project, A Betta Tomorrow-SXM. This project will be launched in the 3rd Annual Weekend of Power from May 28th – May 31st, 2015.
The visionary and founder of the Jamaican initiative A Betta Tomorrow, Kevin Smith, is currently visiting our island, lending his support to the establishment of the project in Sint Maarten. He is visiting several communities this week, encouraging all to be a part of the change to give our island a better tomorrow.
There are several schools and youth programs participating in the A Betta Tomorrow SXM project. Among them are St. Maarten Vocational School, St. Maarten Academy PSVE, St. Maarten Academy (Academic), Prins Willem Alexander School, MAC School, and the Belvedere Community Foundation.
