Churches issue warning about dangers of demonic game

PHILIPSBURG:_--- The latest craze on social media is a game that encourages young people to contact a demon spirit by the name of Charlie. The game, that resembles a Ouija Board game, is named "Charlie Charlie Challenge". Elementary and high schools on Sint Maarten have indicated that there are children who are playing the game. Some schools have also reported about children who have been haunted by fear and have not been able to sleep after playing the game.
In their joint monthly prayer breakfast the Sint Maarten United Ministerial Foundation (SMUMF) and the Federation of Churches of French Saint Martin (FEDOC) discussed Charlie Charlie Challenge and hereby issue a strong warning to parents and teachers about the dangers of this demonic game. Because, once children open the door to the occult there is no telling what can happen! It has been reported that children who have played the game are afraid to fall asleep and their behavior has become very disruptive. In addition to the ghost Charlie, children also expose themselves to other demonic spirits and if the game is not terminated well, as a result, children may experience all kinds of paranormal situations such as hearing voices, things being moved, shadows and sinister laughing. In Antigua children even fainted and started having seizures. Some children even attempted to jump out of the school bus.
The churches hereby strongly encourage parents to instruct their children not to play the game and to not let their friends or peers pressure them into participating either. Teachers should also discuss the game with their students and warn them about the dangers of dabbling in the occult. If parents, teachers or community leaders notice any paranormal behavior in a child, they should pray with that child and plead the blood of Jesus Christ over his/her life. In the gospels of Mark 16:17 and Luke10:19 Jesus gave us authority of demons and therefore you too are able to break that satanic influence in the life of your child or student. Your prayer can go something like: In the Holy name of Jesus, I rebuke you spirit of Charlie and all associated evil spirits and I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to leave A (name of child) alone. In Jesus name I rebuke the spirit of fear and cover and seal A with the precious blood of Jesus. I break and dissolve every stronghold and influence that Charlie has had on A's life. Thank You, Jesus for setting A free. Thank You, Heavenly Father for Your Love and thank You, Holy Spirit for comforting A. In Jesus' name, Amen
SMUMF and FEDOC have Pastors who are also willing to go to a school or to a home to pray with the child and counsel with parents, teachers or community leaders. For help call 580-9474 or 590-590-875220
