In a quality ranking of individual lawyers Dutch Caribbean Legal Portal (DCLP) has published the top of labor law specialists of Curacao. The legal website ranks these lawyers in two categories: Top Legal Individuals (experienced specialized lawyers) and Rising Stars (young talent).
In this first edition of the DCLP Top Legal Individuals Labor Law Lisanne Asjes (Asjes | Carrega), Molly Steward (VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne) and William ten Veen (BBV Legal) are ranked as best lawyers. Karina Keizer ( VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne) has been chosen as best Rising Star.
Other lawyers ranked as labor law experts are Sandra Thomson, Michael Bonapart, Mirto Murray, Roque Koeijers, Annemarijke Bach Kolling, Kimberley De L’Isle en Darlene Piar
The rankings will be made for the most common practice areas, the results are based on peer ranking.
Later this year quality rankings for other areas of law will be published: Criminal Law and Litigation (including Procedural Law). After that other areas of law, like Family Law and Corporate Law will be published.
For now only specialized lawyers active in Curaçao will be taking part in the ranking. In the future
this might be expanded to other jurisdictions.
Dutch Caribbean Legal Portal annually composes a ranking of law firms in the Dutch Caribbean and Suriname, based on the number of lawyers employed (DCLP Top 25 law Firms). This ranking will remain to be pulished next to the new quality rankings.
