PHILIPSBURG:--- The Department of Communication hereby makes known that the Miami 2 St. Maarten Showdown Roy Jones Jr. and Danny Santiago fight, which Government contributed to, is postponed until further notice.
Due to the expected nature of Hurricane Danny which is scheduled to be around St. Maarten on Monday, the fight had to be pushed up.
Postponement is based on the safety and security of the fighters, general and traveling public.
More information will be forthcoming in the near future about the fight, and a new date will be announced. Fighters a still anxious to meet in the ring.
Tickets sold to the fight will be honored by the boxing promoter, Archie Keaton Entertainment.
