The SXM Hospitality Educational Institute (SXMHEI) is offering Hospitality Management Certificates.
PHILIPSBURG:--- “Hospitality continues to be a key driver in St. Maarten,” says Glen Yeung, SXMHEI’s executive director, whose professional background includes hospitality education and instruction as well as hospitality industry management. The SXM Hospitality Educational Institute was established in order to focus on the business aspects of the hospitality industry.
Yeung is the former Dean of Academics and Hospitality Division Head and veteran instructor at the University of St. Martin and he holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the Florida International University (FIU) and became St. Maarten’s first AHLEI Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) in 2013.
Students who enrol in SXMHEI’s courses will benefit from strong local industry support for and participation in class. Professionals are invited to make classroom presentations, mentor students, and provide internships and job leads. Participants will earn an academic course certificate of completion from SXMHEI. The course is targeted primarily to supervisors and management professionals in hospitality, hospitality marketing, tourism management, service management and service industry in general.
