PHILIPSBURG:--- Police arrested a primary school principal on Friday and also searched his house that same day. Press Prosecutor Karola Van Nie told SMN News in an invited comment Sunday night that a school principal was arrested on Friday and heard as a suspect. Van Nie said that a house search was also conducted that same day. The Public Prosecutor said that she will not divulge any information as to why the School Principal was arrested and why his house was searched. She also said she will not release names or any other information at this moment. The press prosecutor said that the principal was heard as a suspect and was released within the six hour time frame the day he was arrested.
SMN News learnt from other sources that the Principal teaches at the John A Gumbs Campus in Betty’s Estate and he was arrested as a suspect that is involved in a case related to child molestation.
