PHILIPSBURG:--- The Suriname Independence Committee would like to wish the Sint Maarten community happy holidays.
The committee recently concluded its Suriname Independence Festival event at the end of November which was a great success, according to committee member Dr. Virginia Asin.
The event took place in collaboration with the Philipsburg Jubilee Library who hosted the event that featured a bazaar, culture show, dancing, and lots of traditional Surinamese food and drinks.
The library also supported the organization of a mini symposium and a mini expo.
The organizers would like to thank all those who came out for the festival which was a huge success in bringing the community together.
