PHILIPSBURG:--- Detectives are presently investigating a shooting incident which took place on Sunday December 13th at approximately 05.45 p.m. on Montevideo Road in Union Farm. Immediately after receiving this call, the Emergency Dispatch sent several police patrol to investigate what had taken place. On the scene the investigating officers learnt that the incident took place due to an ongoing feud between neighbors. The situation got out of hand at which point one neighbor aimed a handgun at the other and attempted to fire shots however this weapon did not fire. The neighbor then went and got a rifle and fired shots at the other.
After committing this act the suspect fled the scene in his vehicle. A warrant for the arrest of the suspect was immediately issued by the Public Prosecutor. The suspect later called the police department and stated that he would turn himself in the following morning. On Monday morning the suspect with the initials D.H.S. turned himself into the police department. He was immediately arrested and put into custody for further investigation.
