PHILIPSBURG:--- During a general control by the Mutli Disciplinary Team at the East Round-about from the Cause Way Bridge a scooter rider was given a stop sign to be controlled. The rider ignored the orders of the officer, drove through the check point and continued on his way. No attempt by the officers was made to chase the suspect. Shortly after, the team saw the same scooter rider coming towards the same check point. They also noticed he had changed his shirt in order to disguise himself for the officers not to notice him. He was stopped in the vicinity of the RBTT-bank on the Union road. During a control the suspect could not properly identify himself. The suspect was immediately arrested after a search was done and a considerable amount of marihuana was found. The marihuana and scooter were confiscated for further investigation. The suspect was also taken to the police station for further questioning.
