Woman stabbed multiple times by intruder/robber --- Suspect escaped.

stabbingfillin24102012PHILIPSBURG:--- A woman is now nursing multiple stab wounds at the St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) after she would stabbed multiple times by an intruder who entered her home located on Back Street. Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson confirmed the incident occurred early Monday morning in a home on Back Street. Henson said based on the information he received from the detectives is that a woman woke up and found a man in her house who seemingly entered her home to rob the house. Henson said when the robber realized that the person in the home woke up he demanded monies and when he did not get it he pulled out a knife he had in his possession and stabbed her multiple times. Henson said the victim is in stable condition while the intruder escaped from the scene without anything of value.

The police department is presently investigating a stabbing incident which took place on December 28th at approximately 06.00 a.m. at a home Back Street. According to report is that the female victim was attacked by an intruder after he had gained access to the house. When the suspect realized he was caught he pulled a knife and attacked the female stabbing her numerous times and demanding money from her. When suspect realized he did not succeed he fled the scene. The victim was treated on the scene by paramedics and then taken to the Medical Center for further treatment where she remains in stable condition and for observation.
