The National Institute of Arts (NIA) participates in SXMDOET 2016.

PHILIPSBURG:--- This year SXM DOET is aiming for an even bigger turnout. So far, over 35 foundations, clubs, and schools throughout St. Maarten have signed up to complete various projects and odd jobs. They could not do this without the generous assistance from our island community.
Our foundation, National Institute of Arts (NIA) will be participating in SXM DOET with our project NIA Productions Black Box Theatre Project. The goal of the project is to equip, enhance and beautify the current performing space known as the Black Box Theatre located at the John Larmonie Center, Longwall road #20, to better cater to the needs and comfort of the performers and audience.
The desired result is to have an actual Black (painted) theatre space with stages and risers, sound and lights, shelving and a renewed wooden floor suitable for all performers.
We look forward to any possible assistance from our community!
