PHILIPSBURG: --- The meeting held on Friday morning with the Supervisory Board of Directors of TELEM Group of Companies namely Constance Steven, Kendall Dupersoy and Paul Marshal and the Shareholder (Council of Ministers) for the shareholder to announce which of the two candidates they selected for the vacant CEO position.
While the meeting was held SMN News learnt that the Shareholder wanted to select one of the Supervisory Board members Kendal Dupersoy for the CEO position. However, that selection process could not take place because the Council of Ministers is still awaiting the advice from the Corporate Governance Council, therefore the shareholder postponed the agenda point on the selection which was also on the agenda for Friday’s meeting. SMN News further learnt that the Council of Ministers are now asking for the scoring from the two candidates in order for them to take a proper decison. However, SMN News could not reach Prime Minister William Marlin for a confirmation on the postponement and which of the two candidates was selected for the CEO position.
Dupersoy is yet to submit his resignation from the SBoD even though he applied and is the possible candidate that was selected for the CEO position which has been vacant for the past 10 years.
Should Dupersoy receive a positive advice from the Corporate Governance Council then he would have to resign from the Supervisory Board of Directors in order to go through the screening process and for the governor to sign his Landsbesluit. When that happens then TELEM supervisory board will have a gap since there will only be two remaining members of SBoD of TELEM as the contract for Jairo Bloem was not renewed by the shareholder. Bloem’s contract ended last Monday.
