Philipsburg:--- To reward excellence in reading, the Segway Experience Center and the Bottoms Up Bar and Restaurant treated the students of the Readers Are Leaders Program from the St. Maarten Vocational Training school and the St. Maarten Academy to an afternoon of fun. The students who were treated to free Segway rides and soft drinks by the managing director, Normand Vidal, were ecstatic for being rewarded for reading. Therefore, they thanked Mr. Vidal and the owner of Bottoms Up Bar and Restaurant for this fabulous experience.
The students will once have an opportunity to be proud of their reading achievements on Wednesday, March 28th, when they will once again be rewarded by the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise and the Philipsburg Jubilee Library for taking up the challenge to read at least one book a month for the annual Readers are Leaders Program.
