Minister Irion Congratulates Winter Graduates.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Ardwell Irion attended the graduations of Charlotte Brookson Academy for the Performance Arts (CBA), MAC Comprehensive Secondary Education (MAC CSE), St. Maarten Academy and St. Dominic High School during the month of December.
Minister Irion took the time to congratulate the institutions that helped shape the minds of the students and the parents for being the necessary support system to keep them going. He also took time out to acknowledge the teachers whose jobs go beyond helping them with their work and into caring for the students as a part of their community. Being the son of a teacher, the minister highlighted the integral roles of teachers that often go unnoticed.
During the ceremonies, the minister gave speeches in which he gave the students words of advice. He let the students know that when they feel demotivated that they should remember that they are capable of achieving their goals and that they have the love and support of their island. He also gave them tips like “work smart” and “take care of your body and spirit as well”. Minister Irion was sure to let the students know that he was proud of them and anticipates their future achievements.
