Record demand drives expansion for fundraising event in support of the Positive and Elektralytes Foundations
SIMPSON BAY:--- Aqua Mania Adventures is proud to announce that the 10th Anniversary edition of the Pink Sunset Sail has officially sold out three boats, prompting the addition of a fourth vessel for the very first time in the event’s history. The overwhelming response underscores the community’s commitment to supporting breast cancer awareness and fundraising for the Positive and Elektralytes Foundation.
This year’s celebration takes place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, beginning with the Pink Mixer and Check In starting at 3:00 PM at the Marina at Simpson Bay Resort. Guests will enjoy a festive start to the afternoon, featuring a photo booth donated by Jingle Jam Entertainment, face painting courtesy of Funtopia, and lively entertainment by Sweet Pan SXM, while sipping on a refreshing glass of Shutterstock Rosé donated by ILTT and indulging in delicious bites courtesy of La Patrona.
At 5:30 PM, participants board Aqua Mania’s fleet of sailing catamarans, Lambada and Tango, and now two Golden Eagle vessels made available by Out Island charters, for an unforgettable evening sail. MC’s to hype up the event are “Elektra”, “Dr. Soc” and this year for the first time we are welcoming Kevin “Suppa” Petrona to the team. The Pink Sunset Sail brings people together to share stories and experiences, enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean sunset, snack on local bites by Captain D’s and take part in the highly anticipated raffle, which this year features more than 150 prizes generously donated by local businesses.
“This is a milestone moment for us,” said Michele Korteweg from Shortcut 2 Success, event organizer on behalf of Aqua Mania Adventures. “For the first time in 10 years, we are adding a fourth boat to accommodate the incredible interest in celebrating and supporting this cause. It is truly heartwarming to see our community come together in such numbers to make a difference.”
The Pink Sunset Sail has grown into one of the island’s most cherished traditions during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, raising vital funds for the Positive and Elektralytes Foundation’s breast cancer awareness and education programs. Part of the proceeds from ticket sales and raffle entries will directly support lifesaving initiatives including early detection campaigns and mammograms for uninsured women in St. Maarten.
