McDonald’s Brawl Suspects’ Detention Extended by Eight Days.

One Release Suspended Under Conditions

reenissisters12102026PHILIPSBURG* — The three suspects arrested in connection with a physical altercation at McDonald’s in Simpson Bay on Sunday evening, October 11, have had their pretrial detention extended by eight days.

The suspects, one minor and two women, spent two days in pretrial detention before the extension was granted. However, the Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the extension for one of the three suspects was suspended, subject to conditions, for personal reasons.

Relatives and bystanders have alleged that the dispute began after an employee allegedly flung extra sauce at customers who had asked for more. According to the family’s account, the women had returned from the beach with their mother and children before stopping at the restaurant to make a purchase.

That version of events has not been independently verified, and police have not publicly established who initiated the physical confrontation or who was responsible for the alleged assault.

Sources identified the two women as sisters Andeline and Alania and described the third suspect as the 16-year-old son of one of the women. Police have not publicly confirmed those identities, and they are withholding the teenager’s name because he is a minor.

The decision to extend the suspects’ detention comes as questions remain about the circumstances surrounding the confrontation and the conditions attached to the suspended detention extension for one of the suspects.

The investigation remains ongoing.
