Philipsburg:--- The French bus driver who was involved in a hit and run accident last week and later surrendered to police has been released by the judge of instruction on Friday evening confirmed press prosecutor Rienk Mud. Mud said the judge did not see it fit to extend the suspect's pre-trial detention. The suspect was charged with mistreating a human being under 314 of the penal code, the prosecutor's office also slapped a manslaughter charge on the driver. One of the two charges was dismissed due to the lack of evidence. Mud said the suspect was served with a summons prior to him leaving the police station on Friday, he is scheduled to appear in court sometime in January.
