Arrindell, Founder of the Peridot Foundation stated; "We are very excited to announce our next program for Mother's Day weekend, Saturday- Sunday- May 7th; that will include legendary singer, and international music icon, Dionne Warwick who will be speaking on Saturday May 7th 2011 at the Belair Community Center. We are extremely happy that Ms. Warwick has taken time out of her very busy schedule to lend her strong voice to our cause of bringing awareness to eradicate violence in our society. Her message will also be uplifting and encouraging in a time when animosity and despair seem to have the upper hand in ones life "
Gracita continues; Ms. Warwick has over the years been a strong supporter and fundraiser of several non profit foundations and charities including; AIDS foundations, children's hospitals, disaster relief and music education, to mention a few. Some of her classic award winning songs include; 'A House is not a home'; Say a little prayer,' Walk on By, and; 'I'll never love this way again'.
"As stated in previous messages, our battle continues to change the minds of the aggressive, the violent and the intolerant, for a safer, more tolerant and friendly society. With all the outward physical aggression and silent suffering by many, there is obviously also a need for uplifting and positive soul searching message.
