PHILIPSBURG:--- Students in the University of St. Martin's (USM) children's literature class taught by Patti Maier were entertained and enlightened by children's author, Jacky Rom, on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Jacky Rom is visiting St. Maarten again to introduce her third book titled Starr The Golden Masterpiece in a series of five books. This book's story takes place on St. Maarten. Jacky Rom explained how she writes the books and discussed acting with the students. It is always great to expose a children's author to the upcoming new teachers.
