IMBALI DANCER WIN AT FRENCH FEDERATION OF DANCE IN ST. BARTHS.

imbalidancerswininstbarths05042012Imbali students return victorious to St. Maarten, after having participated in the French Federation of Dance Competition which was held in St.Barth on Tuesday April 3, 2012. Imbali dance students competed in Ballet, Jazz, African dance, and Classical Indian dance. As a result the students earned two gold medals in modern dance and jazz, a silver medal in African dance and Bharatanatyam, and bronze in ballet. The students have been working hard since November 2011 preparing for this competition.

The two contestants that won gold at the regionals, now qualify to compete at the national dance competition in Nice South of France in June 2012. They will compete against all other gold medalist in the French Federation of Dance.
Last year Imbali students competed in Amiens, France in a competition that hosted 2500 dancers from around the world and earned gold in classical ballet and bronze in Jazz. This year the students and the dedicated teachers are committed equally in presenting the best of themselves at the national competition.
Imbali staff and management team are now focused on raising the necessary funds to send two dancers Jeremiah David and Kiara Vanterpool to compete at the nationals.
