A man with initials M.M. was arrested by police on Friday August 24th at approximately 6:40pm in the vicinity of Flourish Supermarket on the A.T. Illidge Road. The arrest was made when a patrol of the Zero Tolerance team investigated the strong scent of marijuana coming from the direction of the supermarket. The patrol saw the suspect close to the supermarket and during a search of the suspect they found 8 small plastic bags each containing a small amount of marijuana. The plastic bags and contents were confiscated. The suspect was taken to the police headquarters in Philipsburg and handed over to the Narcotics Department for further investigation.
