“WOMAN 2 WOMAN” HOSTS THE FIRST-EVER PHENOMENAL WOMEN IN FRENCH ST. MARTIN POLITICAL DEBATE.

jflemingartsenandjlouis07032012It's not a regular ladies night this Wednesday, March 7! As we celebrate International Women's History month in March, the "Woman 2 Woman, Phenomenal Women" radio program is making local history with the organization of the "Phenomenal Women in St. Martin Political Debate." Hosted by Josianne Fleming-Artsen and Jacqueline Louis, the dynamic hosts of the "Woman 2 Woman" radio program on SOS Radio 95.9FM, this debate will be held at the St. Martin Chamber of Commerce, located in Concordia at 7 PM on Wednesday, March 7.

"One of the purposes of the 'Woman 2 Woman' radio program is to positively uplift women and bring their phenomenal efforts to the forefront. With the upcoming French St. Martin elections on March 18, the legal obligation of the "lois sur la parite en France," requires that 50% of the list is comprised of female candidates. We saw the need to provide these female candidates with an outlet through interviews on the 'Woman 2 Woman' program. Therefore, over the past few weeks, we have been hosting a special politically charged series focusing on phenomenal women involved in French St. Martin politics. However, due to popular demand, we developed the debate to provide a forum for the general public to ask their questions, voice their concerns, and show support for their candidates of choice. There are six parties and that makes it very challenging for voters, but there is a lot of excitement in the air," shared Josianne Fleming-Artsen, host of the "Woman 2 Woman" radio program, which is aired live on SOS Radio 95.9FM every Sunday from 12:30-1:30PM.

To ensure that all major issues are addressed by the candidates, the general public is asked to log onto to the "Woman 2 Woman" facebook page called W2W – PHENOMENAL WOMEN and send in questions, concerns and/or topics of discussion.
