Man seriously ill-treated (beaten).

Simpson Bay:--- On Monday April 9, 2012 at approximately 2:00am, police patrols and detectives were directed to McDonalds in Simpson Bay to investigate a case where a man had been seriously beaten by two or three unknown young men. On the scene, the investigating officers located the victim with the initials M.W. from Dominica who is staying on the French side. The victim was lying on the ground of the "drive through" and was bleeding profusely from a wound to his head and had suffered a fractured skull. The victim also had other wounds to his face and he had been knocked unconscious. The girlfriend of the victim stated that she and the victim had gone to Soggy Dollar for the evening. She left the night club for a short while to get something to eat at McDonalds. When she returned she was informed that her boyfriend (the victim) had gone looking for her. She stayed at the entrance of the night club waiting for him however shortly after an acquaintance of hers told her that two or three men had beaten the victim. On the scene, the victim was treated by the paramedics and then transported to the Sint Maarten Medical Center. The detectives learnt that later that day at approximately 4:00pm the victim was flown in very critical condition to Guadeloupe for further treatment.
This case is under investigation. No-one has been arrested as a suspect in this case and the Police department is asking anyone who has any information in connection with this case to contact the police department.
