Prime Minister Hon. Sarah Wescot-Williams to host St. Maarten’s female taxi drivers in commemoration of International Women’s Day 2012.

Prime Minister Hon. Sarah Wescot-Williams will be hosting female taxi drivers at a brunch, which will be held at the Cabana Restaurant at the Royal Palm Resort in Simpson Bay on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
During her weekly press briefing, the Prime Minister paid homage to all female taxi drivers who continue to serve tirelessly as ambassadors to visitors of our country in this very competitive-driven profession.
The observance, which will be celebrated on Sunday, March 11, 2012, is made possible through the kind corporate sponsorship obtained from various government-owned companies and private institutions, who too are extremely appreciative and cognizant of the sacrifices and pivotal role our taxi drivers play in sustaining our tourism product as well as the role women in general.
These companies are:
Banco de Caribe, Ennia Insurances, Telem Group of Companies and the St. Maarten Harbor Group of Companies N.V.
