The St. Maarten Lions Club Committee in charge of the 4th Annual Health & Wellness Fair hereby reminds the community to visit the Festival Village this Saturday March 24th between the hours of 10 am and 4pm, for an opportunity to take various health tests and information tips – free of charge.Committee Chair Jessica Vrolijk: "We are pleased to have sponsors that have been with us from the very start of this annual event and welcome new stakeholders The Art of Living Foundation, Dental Care Clinic of Dr Cassandra Dowling, TeLem Group, and SZV. The St. Maarten Alzheimer's Foundation and Alpha Health Store have joined the fair for a second year in a row. Tests and information being offered to the general public include glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol tests, vaccination for children between 0 and 17 years old, HIV testing, body fat measurement, dental hygiene and maintenance, mental health care and breast cancer information."
NAGICO and Fatum Insurances, along with SZV will offer information on medical and life insurance products and services, including the application forms, products and services available. The Department of Health, Social Development and Labour will also be on hand.
The health fair will maintain its family oriented environment with Food and drink being on sale, live music entertainment and a kiddy's corner for children who would like to burn some energy while their parents get tested.
The last stakeholders' information meeting will be held at the Festival Village on Monday 19th of March, at 3pm. All stakeholder representatives are asked to be present to get final details on all that is to take place Saturday.
